Adverb Clause of Condition
หมายถึง Clause ซึ่งไปทำหน้าที่เสมือนหนึ่งเป็น Adverb ไปขยายกริยาในประโยคหลัก
เพื่อบอกให้ทราบถึงเงื่อนไข หรือการสมมติของกริยาตัวนั้นๆ
และลักษณะของประโยคจะขึ้นต้นด้วย Subordinate Conjunction ต่อไปนี้
If ถ้า
If
only ถ้าเพียงแต่ว่า (เน้นกว่า if)
Unless ถ้า.....ไม่ (=if.....not)
Supposing
(that) ถ้า....... (ใช้กับอนาคต)
Providing
(that) ถ้า, ตราบเท่าที่
Provided
(that) ถ้า, ตราบเท่าที่
On condition (that)
ถ้า (ใช้เหมือน providing)
On the event (that) ในกรณีที่
In case
(that) ในกรณีที่
As long
as
ตราบเท่าที่
On the understanding that ถ้าหาก
But that
ถ้า.....ไม่ (=if.....not)
Ex
I would come with you if I were not so busy.
ฉันจะมากับคุณถ้าฉันไม่ติดธุระ
If only he hadn’t gone to work there, he wouldn’t have been killed.
ถ้าเขาไปทำงานอยู่ที่นั่น
เขาก็จะไม่ถูกฆ่าตาย
We won’t have the picnic unless the weather is good.
พวกเราจะไม่ได้ไปปิกนิก
ถ้าหากว่าอากาศไม่ดี
Supposing (that) it rains, what shall we do?
ถ้าฝนตกเราจะทำอย่างไร
Provided (that) I am free, I

ถ้าฉันว่าง ฉันจะมา
